For the third successive year, Gaby Hardwicke was represented in the London MoonWalk, which is held in aid of the breast cancer charity Walk the Walk.
This year, Chartered Legal Executive Wendy Langridge completed the 26.2-mile version of the event, with her daughter, Pollyanna, 16, who agreed to complete the walk alongside her mother on one condition… As an ardent David Bowie fan she insisted they paint their faces and dress in tribute to the late pop legend before setting off.
Wendy said: “Fuelled by various energy foods along the way, we finished in 8.5 hours and got back to Clapham Common at 7am for a well-earned hot chocolate and yummy cake.
“Pollyanna and I raised over £300 in sponsorship. With over 14,000 walkers taking part, collectively the event has raised over £4million, with more to come. Well done to everyone involved, whether walking or helping, and thank you to all those who donated. It was a great event and a very memorable experience.”
