Gaby Hardwicke Solicitors is delighted once more to be among the sponsors of the Bexhill Festival of Music, which is now in its eleventh year.
The festival starts on 1 June with the world-famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performing renowned classical pieces by Dvorák, Tchaikovsky, Rossini and Fauré. The conductor is the internationally acclaimed Sussex-based Brian Wright and the pianist is the rising young star Alex Panfilov. The concert takes place at the De La Warr Pavilion.
Another highlight is the Bexhill Festival of Music debut of internationally renowned guitarist Richard Durrant. His concert ‘Stringhenge’ is a uniquely-British acoustic show held in St Peter’s Church, Old Town, on 30 June.
But the festival isn’t just about big-name musicians; one of its objectives is to showcase local talent, so local musicians feature strongly. And there really is something for almost everyone with swing, soul, blues, jazz, tribute acts, music quizzes, comedy nights and 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s cover bands on the programme.
The festival ends on 2 July with the Last Night of the Bexhill Proms, an event at the De La Warr Pavilion featuring the Sussex Concert Orchestra and the Bexhill Festival Choir.
