Lady Taverners event raises thousands for disadvantaged children

Outside Eastbourne's Grand Hotel

We were proud once more to sponsor the Lady Taverners’ Summer Luncheon, held at the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne, on 27 June in aid of the Lord’s Taverners charity. Gaby Hardwicke’s Hannah Bambury, Cara Grant, Daniela Catuara, Melanie Verth and Iona Smith attended along with several guests.

The event started with a welcome address from Laura Collins, Chair of the Lady Taverners’ Kent and East Sussex Region, followed by grace said by Gaby Hardwicke Commercial Property Partner Hannah Bambury. A raffle was held after lunch with an array of prizes donated by local businesses. Afterwards the gathering moved to the hotel lawn for a drinks reception and live music.

The Lord’s Taverners is the official charity of UK recreational cricket and exists to ‘give young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance’. It helps disadvantaged children to participate in a wide range of sports and leisure activities. For more information visit the Lord’s Taverners website.
