Spring lunch raises £14,500 for disadvantaged children

Gaby Hardwicke was proud to sponsor the Lord’s Taverners annual spring lunch for the 13th consecutive year. The lunch, held last Friday at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne, raised £14,500 for the Lord’s Taverners charity, via donations from the local business community.

Hundreds of business people from around Sussex attended the lunch, with ticket sales, auctions, raffle tickets and Gaby Hardwicke’s sponsorship contributing to the sum raised. This year ‘grace’ was said by Gaby Hardwicke partner Jeremy Laws and the guest speaker was the entertainer Nick Einhorn.

The Lord’s Taverners is the official charity of UK recreational cricket and exists to ‘give young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance’. It helps disadvantaged children to participate in a wide range of sports and leisure activities. For more information visit the Lord’s Taverners website.

Gaby Hardwicke is also sponsoring the fifteenth Lady Taverners (the ladies’ branch of the Lord’s Taverners) annual spring lunch, which takes place at the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne, on 22 June 2016.
