Care for the elderly
At Gaby Hardwicke we have a specialist team dedicated to the needs of elderly clients. We provide expert advice on issues that affect older people, their families, carers and advisers.
Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)
One of our key areas of work is the preparation, registration and/or implementation of Lasting Powers of Attorney, so that our clients’ financial, property, healthcare and welfare matters are handled efficiently.
Where a Power of Attorney isn't possible our specialist team may apply to the Court of Protection and, where necessary, act as a Deputy to manage a client’s affairs.
Going a step further
What really sets our elderly clients' care team apart, however, is that we go a step further with regular visits to our clients' homes or nursing homes to check on their welfare. We also handle tax administration, financial administration, matters relating to nursing home fees, investments and general administration (managing bills, household issues, etc).
If you need to discuss legal matters relating to an elderly client, whether for yourself, a family member or friend, don’t hesitate to contact us.
What our clients say
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for all your help with this; we have really appreciated your guidance through this complicated process and you have truly kept me sane... [You have] worked above and beyond the call of duty on our behalf.
Mrs H. of Littlehampton
Just a quick line to thank you for the arrangement of the lasting power of attorney – all documents arrived today. Your compassion and professionalism went a long way in bringing this together. Dad is now in a nursing home where at least I know he is safe and looked after, but in turn making this document all so more valuable.
Based in East Sussex but serving a much wider area, Gaby Hardwicke Solicitors has offices in Hastings, Bexhill, Cooden and Eastbourne.
