Dementia-friendly film screenings back in Bexhill

Dementia-friendly musical matinees return to Bexhill on Tuesday 21 November with a screening of Singin’ in the Rain, the classic 1952 musical-romantic comedy.

The organisers, Bexhill Dementia Action Alliance, have been hosting dementia-friendly screenings in the town for several years. The ethos of the screenings is ‘relaxed’, which means they are geared towards people who may benefit from a less formal environment, such as those living with dementia or disabilities and their carers.

The Singin’ in the Rain screening takes place at the Bagnall Room, Bexhill Caring Community, 25 Sackville Road, Bexhill-on-Sea, TN39 3JD. Doors open at 1:30pm and the screening starts at 2pm. The film is free and a raffle and refreshments will be available. Once again, Gaby Hardwicke is delighted to be among the event’s sponsors.
