Gaby Hardwicke recently acted in the sale of Eastbourne Borough Football Club and its assets to an external investor. The Community Interest Company that has run the club in recent years retains a minority ownership, while highly regarded businessman and entrepreneur, Simon Leslie, becomes the majority shareholder in the new company. As with all such transactions, the takeover is subject to formal approval by the FA. Simon who co-founded Ink, the world’s leading travel media company, is an entrepreneur and global business speaker who has worked with the largest travel brands and airlines worldwide and mentored multiple young business leaders.
The transaction involved a collaboration of solicitors from Gaby Hardwicke’s corporate, commercial property and employment teams, showcasing the firm’s breadth of expertise in completing such transactions seamlessly and within a tight timeframe.
