Marathon Lawyers

Three lawyers from Gaby Hardwicke recently took part in marathons in the UK and France. 

Private Client Partner, James Mountford completed the Yorkshire Marathon in a time of 2 hours 43, finishing 23rd. The route took runners past some of the beautiful city of York’s splendid historic sites and along scenic country lanes, making it an attractive prospect for runners of all abilities. Described by the Daily Mirror as the Number 1 Alternative to the London Marathon, James made it look like a walk in the park. 

Consultant Jon Fielden completed the Chambéry Marathon in a time of 2 hours 58 minutes, finishing 24th overall and first in his age group. It was a personal best by six minutes, with Jon achieving his goal of finishing under three hours. The route is among the flattest and most attractive in France, with an incredible view of Lake Bourget and the surrounding mountain ranges.

Senior Associate Solicitor, Chris Moye completed the Beachy Head Marathon, despite suffering a back injury just a week before. The Beachy Head Marathon is one the biggest off-road marathons in the UK. Formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon, it is popular for its scenic and challenging route through the South Downs National Park countryside. Chris ran alongside his wife from start to the brutal finish along the Seven Sisters.
