New Faces at Gaby Hardwicke

As we begin the new year, it is a pleasure to introduce our newest team members:

Richard Lane is a Senior Consultant within our Private Department. Prior to joining Gaby Hardwicke, Richard worked for firms in Bexhill and Hastings clocking up over 40 years’ experience as a solicitor. Richard specialises in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate.

Colette Payne is a Senior Associate Solicitor in our Personal Injury Department. She has always acted only for claimants and is passionate about acting for people who have suffered injuries whether through accidents or clinical negligence. She has experience in a wide variety of matters including industrial disease, road traffic accidents, psychiatric injury, delay in diagnosis and orthopaedic trauma.

Martin Davitt is an Associate Solicitor in our Commercial Property Department. He deals with all types of commercial property transactions, whether acting for landlords or tenants, in dealing with general asset management (including the grant/sale/surrender of leases, applications for consent etc.), or acting on the acquisition and disposal of freehold & leasehold commercial property, together with any associated property finance aspects.

Elena Thompson is an Associate Solicitor in our Private Client Department. She specialises in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Declarations of Trust and Administrations of Estates. She prides herself on being approachable, whilst giving honest and realistic advice.

William Baker is an Associate Solicitor within our Corporate Finance & Commercial Agreements Department. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in local government where he trained and qualified as a Solicitor. William’s role today includes the preparation and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, including data protection policies, intellectual property contracts, terms & conditions of business and bespoke commercial agreements.

Emily Hearn is an Associate Solicitor in our Private Client Department. Prior to joining the firm, Emily worked at another local law firm where she completed her training contract. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2021. Her specialisms include Probate and Administration of Estates, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Chloe Risby is a Paralegal in our Corporate Finance & Commercial Agreements Department. Chloe’s area of work is in corporate transactions, including share and asset sales and purchases.

Lucy Campbell is a Paralegal in our Corporate Finance & Commercial Agreements Department. Originally from Northern Ireland, Lucy worked for a major International law firm as a graduate trainee professional where she gained experience in Corporate and Dispute Resolution law. Lucy’s now works in the corporate team at Gaby Hardwicke providing transactional support.
